Live Show This Week

I'm going to be playing a live show tomorrow (Thursday 22 March) at The Imp on Edleston Road in Crewe as part of the Acoustic Addiction series hosted by the Angry Badgers.

It will be an acoustic solo show, just me and the guitar, and I'll be debuting some of the new material that I've been working on with a mix of both covers and originals.

I've also been rehearsing a lot with bassist Nick Bayes recently and we will be playing a few shows together over the next few weeks, again with a selection of new songs, including Saturday 31st March at the Nag's Head in Crewe and my debut at the Nantwich Jazz, Blues and Music Festival. We will be playing at the Malbank Hotel on Easter Monday. For more details on that one, check out the festival website at nantwichjazz.com.

I have updated the live page at http://www.dayve.co.uk/gigs.shtml and also my Facebook Page events list at facebook.com/dayvedean/events where you can join the event and then check in at the show via Facebook Mobile and post comments and photos.

Recent sessions and new radio show

Over the last few weeks I've had the pleasure of working with a couple of fantastic acts in the recording studio lending some vocals to their latest projects.

A few weeks ago I worked with Blythe on her forthcoming song "Let The Children Play". Check her out at facebook.com/Blythelife.

And this week I've been working with The BlueYellows on their new EP. Check them out at www.blueyellows.co.uk.

The BlueYellows also feature on my new radio show on The Cat, The Cat Sessions which started this week and will air at www.thisisthecat.com every Thursday 9pm-11pm. You can listen again to this week's show at http://www.podcast.canstream.co.uk/thecat/index.php?cat=The%20Cat%20Sessions to hear live music from The BlueYellows, Phil Maddocks and also some of the session I recorded for The Cat in 2010.
